I also use an IH and used to get uneven AVB until I started crushing and repacking.
By only turning your nug upside you are running an increased risk of scorching the bud on the outside and leaving green bud inside.
Next time you finish a nug in your Omni, crush it in your hand and I guarantee...
Get a Sticky Brick in that case!
Seriously though the thickest, densest hits are produce through a stem WITHOUT the introduction of any additional air.
Between the 2 devices you have listed you will get bigger (not denser), cooler clouds from the MVS and denser, warmer hits from the Omni with...
The new Omni is LESS restrictive compared to the old Omni - at least mine is and I think it is the tip and not the condenser that makes it so.
If I put an old Ti tip on my 2021 Omni with the condenser at max extension it is 99% closed.
New Ti tip with the condenser at max extension it is maybe...
Yes you can use the Omni condenser like the old ones. Placing CCD's is simple once you spend some time practicing the technique. Sounds like most people tend to use too much force to me.
Same here.
Captive caps are nothing but trouble and affect the efficiency of the device in a negative way. Dynavap must know this as well but as they charge nearly double the price for a captive cap compared to the original (and best) I think that has something to do with it.
The CCD's have always clicked every time I make an adjustment, not always a loud click but a click none the less. If you aren't hearing a click the CCD is in the wrong position and hasn't seated properly.
I can whole heartedly say that the SideClick is the best budget IH I have ever used. Comes with 2 glass cylinders for the heater, set at different heights and user modable along with a storage compartment for any M sized Vapcap.
Consider it a metal bodied Orion clone but cheaper and better.
I find the same thing with all of my IH's.
I think the caps get to temperature BEFORE the bowl with IH's (the metal used for the caps is much thinner than the bowl) as I NEVER have this issue with a torch. This would account for the drastic difference in vapour production between the 2...
I run my condenser at full extension so I don't have to worry about fingering holes! Through glass the new Omni produces a bit more vapour than the 2017 version and heats up noticeably quicker.
You're going to love them.
The new unit is amazing and produces larger clouds compared to the old...
Full extension doesn't close the airport on my Omni but does minimize dilution.
I made the mistake of thinking I could extend the Stinger condenser into the Ti tip in the same way as the Omni but the twisted piece in the condenser prevented that from happening. I could only compare with the Omni...
I was very disappointed with the Stinger. I use my Omni with the condenser at max extension, and never feather the air port. You can't do that with the Stinger and when I tried it in my Omni and M's I wasn't getting the same performance and the cooling effect, to me, was minimal at best...
Already done it! Only difference is that the early (2017/2018) caps are narrower and tighter fitting so heat up is 2 seconds quicker with a cold bowl and 1 second faster with a warm bowl. I get slightly bigger clouds with the new Omni compared to the 2017 Omni regardless of which cap I use and...
The new Omni tip runs cooler than the gen 4 7&5 fin tips so no 1 hit extraction unless you use a miniscule amount.
Full bowl + torch - 3-5 cycles for full extraction.
Full bowl + IH - 5-6 cycles + stirring for full extraction using PSM.
I'm really impressed with the new Omni overall especially...
Received my 2021 Omni and am extremely happy with it apart from one thing.
The captive cap is loose and rattles and has 3mm of play between the cap and tip making the vapour far too diluted for my liking. Easily remedied with a standard cap but I shouldn't have to replace anything on a £200...
