I am happy that your purchases have made your DV experience better. Being in the UK I can't justify purchasing them due to additional shipping and import costs and will have to make do half filling a full bowl as I have been for years.
My SideClick is superior in everyway when compared to an Orion. Better build quality (metal body instead of plastic), supplied with 2 heating chamber glass cylinders - one set for microdosing/50% chamber the other is open from top to bottom and the depth of this heating chamber can be adjusted...
Bigger clouds are a result of air dilution, which is great if that's what does it for you.
As an ex-smoker I prefer the smaller but thicker and more potent hits that are obtained by using the Omni at full extension.
That being said, Dynavap have seemingly covered all the bases for all types of...
I guarantee you will notice a difference. Also by leaving the CCD in the bottom position you can use the notches as a guide and get smaller loads for microdosing. For example the 75% setting notch becomes a 25% setting when filling a full bowl.
THIS☝️☝️☝️☝️
Half filling a full bowl gives better extraction compared to a CCD set at the 50% because the air in front of the load gets nicely heated adding some extra convection to the usual conduction. YMMV.
This reviewer seems like a nice guy but he clearly doesn't do any research before releasing review videos and makes a lot of unnecessary mistakes. In his Omni review he complained of no airflow control after putting a S/S tip on the Omni!
Dynawax is absorbed by wood in exactly the same way as...
If using an old cap scorches the load it means that the new Omni tip must run hotter than the old tips and needs additional cooling.
Funny thing is that my 2021 Omni is paired with a tight 2017 cap and I never get scorched loads.
Talk about ''your mileage may vary"!
The problem in Blighty is that no-one seems to know how to make decent hash from proper trim and/or bud. Back in the early 90's the street hash was ok as it came over from Amsterdam but from the late 90's onward all we got is the really contaminated, shitty soapbar that had all sorts of crap...
Welcome to the forum @Vapormarsh.
After 2-3 heat cycles, blow the herb into your hand and stir it. You will notice the bud in the middle is still green - this is the downside of most IH heaters with the exception of The Fluxer - the outside gets hot quickly but the middle doesn't because it...
What you have discovered is that like most things, if you use them in the way they were designed to be used, you get the best results.
I too have gone back to torches after exclusive IH use for a year and noticed everything you mentioned - especially the even vaping and no stirring requirement...
And to think George didn't want to make IH's in the first place because he knew these problems would arise. It must suck losing money on a project that you knew would cause so many problems.
I have the same issue with the captive caps being too loose and not producing vapour but as far as I know Dynavap say there has been no change to the caps other than the addition of the captive lugs. You can use pliers to get rid of the lugs and then pinch the cap for a better fit and it works...
TBH if you don't use your Dynavap daily I would stick to the 2017M - unless money is no issue.
However, changing to Ti tip is relatively inexpensive and is a substantial upgrade to the M on its own.
If I were you, I would buy a Ti tip first. If you enjoy the difference then consider upgrading to...
If there is no taper in the tip then why is the Omni condenser tapered to match? No taper means to air adjustment. The reason the new Omni tip weighs more than the VonG tip is possibly due to the taper in the Omni tip. The VonG tip doesn't need a taper as the air flow adjustment is facilitated...
None that are noticeable.
You are correct on both counts.
I have to say that I'm disappointed about the Vong Ti tip simply because I think it looks better than the Omni tip!
BIG Ti TIP DIFFERENCE
I've been playing DynaLego and found a big difference between the 2 new Ti tips.
The Vongs Ti tip bottom hole is NOT tapered like the Omni tip so using an extendable condenser doesn't change the airflow at all.
