A vapcap is designed to click at a set temperature.
An IH with adjustable temperature will make no difference to the temp the cap clicks at.
Temp too low = no click. Temp too high - quicker click with potential scorching.
I have the standard 2021 Omni and the 2021 Obsidian Omni. Both offer better performance than the M but in my opinion the standard 2021 Omni is better than the Obsidian due to the fact that the black paint/substance affects heat up and cool down negatively. Using the same bud and induction heater...
2021 Obsidium Omni
2019M Blackwood Phantom Tip
2018M Shadow
Got my 3 favourite Dynavaps all in black, finally! ,😍😍😍
All I need now is for Dynavap to start making and selling replacement Black caps cause the regular caps spoil the look!
You are right Tommy, my 2020M tip is the same.
This is my process with my 2020M tip.
Start with the CCD in the 50% or top position.
Very carefully press down on the CCD just hard enough to dislodge it. The CCD can now slide between the two preset grooves. With my 2020M it holds the CCD in...
My Obsidium Omni has been my daily driver for 3 weeks now, so approx 120 bowls/ 480 heat cycles with both torch and IH.
I have no discolouration on the cap at all - it is as shiny as day 1.
The tip has no marks at all from removing/replacing the cap.
The body and mouthpiece are still in...
Each to their own but I couldn't care less what my Dynavap looks like as long as it works properly, but if you received a new Dynavap with scratches on it I can understand wanting to change it.
I have the 2018 Shadow M, 2019 Phantom M and the Obsidium Omni and I use them all regularly and none...
I emailed Dynavap asking if they had any plans to release spare parts for the coloured M's and the Obsidium Omni and here is the reply -
''We are currently working on having coloured parts available, but I cannot give you a timeline of when that will be. Keep an eye on the website or the...
#1 - build up past the CCD in the fin region.
I get a lot of reclaim/particle build up if I don't clean regularly due to my technique - I usually put a whole nug in for the first heat cycle for flavour then remove, crush and repack for heat cycle two and this is where the particle matter comes...
I've been having the same issue for months and I think it's due to the higher temps provided by torch heating. To test this over the last 3 weeks I have been running my 2 Omnis with the same design tips and bud, one torch only, the other IH only and so far I'm only hearing and feeling the...
I use a wooden skewer.
Simply use the point of the skewer to get under the o-ring then roll the o-ring onto the skewer to remove.
Do the reverse to fit the new rings.
You should still clean a second hand Dynavap - you don't know what the last user did with it and it doesn't take long at all!
In addition you will have to strip your Dynavap regularly to clean it moving forward so get used to it!
I use standard caps exclusively but still have issues with my 20M - it seems to dissipate heat extremely quickly as I get a cool down click after only 3-4 seconds and the body gets unusually hot so I don't use it at all.
