A change of setup on my Runt and bingo - clouds every time!
I took out the restrictor disc and replaced the large bent intake with the smaller version supplied with my Runt and everything just works perfectly. On Tuesday evening I couldn't get a hit at all using the small bent intake/restrictor...
Thanks Coolbreeze.
I bought a large bent intake with my Hydrobrick and much prefer it to the smaller one provided with the Runt that doesn't work at all for me - I literally spent an hour with it and didn't achieve a single hit, regardless of angle or temp!
I have tried the restrictor both ways...
I'm loving my bricks overall but... sometimes I'm only getting very hot, wood flavoured air instead of vapor. This tends to happen more when I use a smaller flame. Is the restrictor sucking up most of the heat? Do I need to pull harder when using a smaller flame? Would blocking the tiny air port...
So after buying my first brick last week (Hydrobrick Maxx) and absolutely loving it, I managed to find a Runt in Black Limba wood at a good price and I can't wait to get home and try it.
Are there any variables between devices I should know about?
Thanks in advance
The restrictor disc definitely helped but damn the brick hits like a truck.
I have seen other brick type vapes but living in the UK limits what is available somewhat and I find I am quoted exorbitant shipping prices from your side of the pond. I can see a Runt or Junior in my future sooner...
I thought I was ready.
I thought I had vaping down.
I thought I could handle my flower.
I thought I wasn't a lightweight.
The Sticky Brick told me I was wrong!!!!!!
I have been vaping for 7 years now, started with an Arizer Solo, then a Mighty and then Dynavap became my daily driver and has...
Just ordered my first Sticky Brick yesterday and watching this video confirms that I made a good choice with the Hydrobrick Maxx.
Vapcap is my daily driver but I wanted a pure convection desktop and this thing looks like it's a monster!
Edit - spelling.
I'm the odd one out!
I still get consistently better results WITHOUT the FMJ on all 14 of my tips by heating low on the cap.
The FMJ takes too long to heat for lesser results plus the fact that you still have to heat past the click to get a 1 hit extraction so I really don't see the point -...
Hitting with a fully open air port results in what I call Shandy vapour.
True you get a big cloud but it is not dense it is diluted and that makes a huge difference to the effect.
I haven't cleared a bong in a single hit with my FMJ after 20+ attempts - I still get better results with just a standard cap and torch. Thankfully it was only £10 wasted.
Just tried the FMJ and tbh it's really nothing special when used with older tips and caps. Tried it on 3 different caps and tips and it only improved vapour slightly for me and it doesn''t fit on my 2017 cap without squeezing the FMJ.
Only really useful with captives because it cause standard...
