I hit each ELB 1-2 times at the following dial settings throughout the day: 9, 10, 11, 1, 2:30.
Most days I only have to use one ELB to stay lightly medicated during the entire day! The EVO has saved me so much money! It's actually TOO efficient - I don't produce ABV fast enough to cook with it...
I actually enjoy the lightly toasted flavor of the ABV my MFLB produces. I'm still collecting my first batch of EVO ABV so I can't comment on that, but it's significantly darker than the MFLB's ABV so I'm thinking it's not going to be nearly as good the second time around.
I find 3:00 makes my ELB contents taste like... if you fed a baby Taco Bell, and then it had taco baby diarrhea... that.
3:00 on the dial - never again.
Is it common practice to wash or rinse trim prior to making butter or oil with it?
Just to get any fertilizers and whatnot off? All of this was grown naturally with no chemicals, only compost & chicken shit for fertilizer.
No need to go to that extreme! This thread is a great resource for anyone thinking of buying an EVO and I just wanted to let those people know that even though you're very vocal about it, the condition of your ELBs seems to be isolated and that they shouldn't pass up buying an EVO because they...
I'm a medical user and my ELBs are pristine, so let's go ahead and toss that first statement out the window.
I feel like maybe you're a very isolated case with these ELBs... while lots of people have issues with them not fitting properly or having seems come apart, the pics you posted showed...
Note to self: changing the dial setting does NOT reset the auto shutdown counter. You'll just have to remember to power cycle the EVO when you increase temps. Bummer.
I always thought white would look pretty cool. I'd rename my EVO to EVE:

If there was any doubt about using flowers in an ELB while the EVO is inverted, here's Seibo doing precisely that:

Even in the month leading up to 4/20, orders were slow to get out due to overwhelming demand. I'd imagine George and crew are working their butts off to get what is likely an insane amount of product out the door as fast as humanly possible.
