I am still perfecting my technique and have been experimenting with different grinds, some bowls I can't seem to get all the ABV the same color (too full perhaps?) and others I get combustion or no vape at all. This unit is def all about technique and I'm hoping once I get it down I will have...
FF just arrived! First trial was a success, but there is def more technique involved with this Vape, which leads to much more flexibility with the quality/moisture levels of herb used.
Very pleased with the purchase so far!
Thanks for all the input guys
So after 7+ years of good times and long sessions my OG Vapor Brothers still goes strong.
The screen however in the original style whip has gotten too clogged, its prob been soaked/cleaned 4 or 5 times over 7 years so it faired pretty well
Now the question should I just get a pack of screens or...
The car charger he tried on the 105 was a universal one that could have voltage changed from 9-14V and also LiOn chargers sometimes use lower Hertz on the car chargers due to variances w/the alternator on the vehicle to keep the charging more consistent.
When I bought the 105 from my friend I...
I ended up going with FF w/extra battery for now (I will prob get pax in the future or after an update) because I enjoy what I heard about herb efficiency and when I do use as a portable its only me and one or two people tops so the longer routine and stirring needed aren't much of an issue...
Thats what I wanted to hear, the PAX is cool for the stealth/cool pop out mouth piece but the convection action and styling of the FF is winning me over the more I read about it, plus how you directly control the heat that appeals to me.
EDIT: Ordered the Black FF, on its way overnight. Hope to...
Updates on my Solo's, My battery swap project didn't work as I believe the person I originally got the M105 from plugged it into a universal DC car charger and messed the charging circuit up (over volt).
So I removed the battery completely and use the 105 as a plug in for house use and the M107...
Hey guys I am looking to expand my collection and am thinking of the FF or the PAX, I only use as portable every now and then, mostly for cordless use around house so was wanting some opinions FF vs PAX from you guys in terms of quality of the vapor and usability of the unit. thanks!
My M105 came from easyvape on amazon, used for a few days and battery would not charge. I was misled by the claim that they had "the latest units" for only $160, same pic above and everything.
Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $ to get it from one of the more respectable sellers like...
Got my M107 with the power adapter today from vapornation so I no longer have to wait for a re-charge! Once the replacement battery comes for M105 I'll post some battery swap pics! Hopefully thats all the old unit needs
M107 is the latest model that is being manufactured. Check http://www.vaporpedia.com/wiki/Solo seems like they did make some changes between 106 and 107 but mostly software for batt life, and it seems a diff brand charger comes with the newer ones
I use a pencil that has a metal end cap instead of an eraser to tamp everything down and to stir.
Grind well and use the whip like a vacuum to pick up material before u tamp it.
I have a new mission in life if i can make the dead M-105 unit work again with a new batt pack. I'll post pics of the battery swap once i get it from slow fed ex
Ive never had to open mine, but it looks like it is just a heater element wrapped around an all glass tube, which is then hooked to a PCB board that handles the control of said element.
Mine is very old Hands free model but has great craftsmanship and I have also used a newer one and it seems...
Which model did you get? the 105 has a lower temp setting while the 106/107 reverted back to the original higher scale of the 100-104.
I'm awaiting my M107 from vapornation currently. Got a bunk m105 from amazon, but the few days i used it I enjoyed hooking it up to some water filtration, got...
They alter the cycles of current going to the heating element using a proprietary algorithm I assume. Which keeps temps within a set range depending where you have the potentiometer on the front.
Personally I have the very first vaporbrothers model. Got it in college in 07 or 08, still works...
I believe they switched chargers for the 106 and 107. I saw complaints of the charger on the old ones charging at an incorrect voltage. Leading to a quicker dying battery, makes sense seeing as my 105 wouldn't even charge after the first day lol
