Cool, i understand the tolerances for the carts and how sensitive the new circuitry is, i do have my roomies v2 to fire on. The gen 3s are nice to hand to the impatient friends, and have saved my herc from the abusers. Is this something you guys can just crack open and reprogram for individual...
V4 perseis run the gen 3 99.9% of the time? Im not trying to play gotcha G, but i have 2 gen 3 dual coils, neither work at 7.4 and work at 3.7 after i force it while holding the button to screw on the cart. Once they get warm they seem alright at 3.7 as far as not giving red lights, but 7.4 is...
or a v2 top... my room mate has a v2 and thats what we use to run the gen 3 carts at 7.4. My v4 top will work at 3.7, but to warm it up i gotta hold the button while i screw the cart on or i get red lighted. no work at all at 7.4.
Ill vouch for it... It was my first idea because i, in theory, could run it on 1 18350. It works for 5 - 10 solid hits before getting weak, but i carried 4 to get me through the day. It was very conservative, and didnt have the leakage problems i had learning the 7.4. One big difference is...
Possibly... if the 7.4 works, it looks like you should pull that 3.7 out a lil further. My spring loaded pin is literally no longer spring loaded. I just kept backing the rod out lil bits at a time until i got a tiny indent on the bottom of the rod. Probably not @THC SCIENTIFIC approved...
Nah, brand newish ones and 6 months tops on the old ones. When i took out a batt the last time it read 3.97 on the charger. Even fresh off the charger i get hard starts now.
Edit: same batteries that fire my herc...
@SamuraiSam or @THC SCIENTIFIC
V4 top is now giving me red ring of death on kiss gen 3 dual coil even on 3.7 mode. It doesnt happen everytime, maybe every 3rd or 5th try, but annoying none the less. Even to the point where sometimes i have to unscrew/rescrew it in. Ive found capping one...
Were talking kiss 3s right? I fired my kiss 3 three or 4 times at 7.4 and it most certainly is less effective at 3.7 now. I have to hold the button forever and carb the intake holes to get proper clouding.
Good to know the v2 will work! The batteries are at least comparable aw's if not surpassing as far as stats are concerned. The 18500s are rated at 15A and the 18650s at 35A.
Im running 18650 yellow jacketed mxjo's(2-3months), 18650 lg he2's(6-8months old), and 18500(2-3months) yellow jacketed mxjo's. All fire my herc fine,with 3.7 rod or 7.4. I got the 7.4 to fire a couple times on my v4 by holding the button and screwing it on, but that was one hit. Would a V2...
Yeah just the two pieces of ss kit... i use the yellow jacketed mxjo 18500s, but there may be others/betters out there. With the flat tops youll need a spacer between the batts to make a connection. I use copper tape, but your ingenuity may find better. For what its worth i installed a...
Yeah, 7.4 you can only get down to the 18650 tube with 2x18350 or (preferably) 2x18500 on the sskit pieced together. I started with the 3.7 and was able to run sufficiently(kinda, it worked) with a single shotty 3.7 efest 18350. It doesnt last well more than 5 hits but an mxjo or aw 18350...
