I would try this: set the dial to 2:00 and give it a good 10-15 minutes to warm up. I don't get ideal results with herbs without a quick warmup. it really shouldn't take 15 minutes... I just threw that number out there to be safe, because the unit should absolutely be ready to go after 15...
