Also, seriously, how different do we think the 8 will be?
The 5 & 6 were both novel iterations but neither were the brand-defining product that the 7 turned out to be. Can’t really see Marc killing the golden goose here.
If you count the time the economy cratered bc of a global pandemic and I had to bump myself into a later batch, I'm def on the longer side of the Nomad waitlist. Even so, I don't think there's anyone on it that doesn't have a good idea of the healthy wait still to come once their ticket finally...
Taking more of a wait-and-see attitude now after seeing all the mixed reviews. There’s a flood of expert opinion coming if the damn things ever get out of Frankfurt.
This thread makes me homesick. For me it’s Riverside Park on a clear day, watching the sun set over NJ. Or the bathroom at Angel’s Share bc it means you got in.
Have to say, I was back over Christmas and hitting the FW7 on the go felt different. I used to vape in the streets when it was only...
Not to derail this thread 4 posts in, but how does the Anvil compare to the butane brick vapes?
I had been planning to splash out on a Dreamwood or an OWW this 4/20, but it almost feels like the Anvil can stand in for those, too.
I passed on the Anvil bc I don’t need a heavy. I had one in my cart early but let it go— doesn’t quite fit my use case as a flavor-chasing micro-doser.
The idea of a smaller Anvil that works with DV stems has my interest big time. Fast and efficient like a vapcap but convection dominant and...
“Temp protect” just means the mod has hit the temperature you set, so it’s dialing down the power to hold the temp steady, i.e. it won’t get any hotter.
Whether the temperature value reflects the actual temperature in the chamber is debatable. Use values that give you the feel you want, knowing...
I took a little break from FC, mostly because I was on holiday but also because I realized that, like most enthusiast forums, FC eventually becomes a endless cash bleed. So I stepped away (after pre-ordering a Revolve stem).
Now I'm back and full of regret for missing out on this excellent...
@Dan Morrison You’re killing me over here. Thought I was def in the first 15, so was totally excited until I missed it. Then I counted and discovered I was just inside the first 30, so got totally excited for the second drop... except there are only 20 this round. Like, dude.
(Loving the toads...
Surprise Saturday delivery and rain all Sunday. 👍
Performance-wise, this thing is a monster. Took the low end of @FearAndLawyering 's recommended settings and tweaked them down to TCR 90 / 340º / 45W / .390 cold-locked ohms but I'm still getting effortless clouds and great flavor. Hits super...
I guess to a person with a hammer everything looks like a nail and to one with an advanced degree in sociology, biochemical effects are socialized behaviors.
There’s an element of interpretation in what you experience once you’ve activated those receptors, but unless conduction is releasing...
FWIW, it’s not actually that hard to sand down a standard 19/22 joint. Cerium oxide paste is widely available and you’re really only grinding about 3mm off the bottom— use the joint you have as a template. You can practice on cheap glass adapters from Amazon.
Just in time for the weekend.

My first ever. Loaded a fresh P26, winged some burnoffs, and gave it a whirl.
Holy hell. New respect for the 18650 battery. My usual Splinter draw pretty much crushes a load unregulated. Totally get the stick vs automatic analogy. Meanwhile...
