I would skip the burnoff and use a alcohol soaked q-tip to LIGHTLY wipe the oven. I do not see any reason for a "burnoff".

Thanks for the insight, my feeder is going into the non use file. Exposure at any level negates the reason I fucked combustion in the first place. No slander against the designer, its a great device. Perhaps a metal version will be better suited......or better yet, wood.

If you pack a full oven, you can use smart path 2 for a short bit, turn off and come back later and finish with smart path 3. That's how I do it and it retains decent flavor especially using a cooling draw after the power is turned off to help pull heat from the oven.
