The rest of the pieces are going up in a few more minutes and then we'll review the site one last time to make sure we didn't miss anything.. we didn't have much time to prepare for this sale so we're kinda winging it.
Thanks dude, more soon come. :-)
You're safe there won't be an...
Heya Dogs hope you're all doing well out there.
Some of you have asked if we'd be having a Birthday Sale this year and if so what are the details. Here is what we've got planned so far..
- plan on starting the sale this weekend and it will run for 2 weeks from when it starts
- there...
Very unlikely that it's on it's way out after such a short time and usually if one is at the end of life it just runs cooler and cooler until it doesn't heat at all anymore.. but that basically doesn't happen anymore since we switched away from resistors and ceramic heaters to our custom made...
Almost 7 years of 24/7 use sounds like a good run.. tired Doggo deserves a good retirement.
Yeah after that long the inside is probably too decayed and while I could bore it out and sleeve some solid wood in (like putting a cylinder liner in an engine) it probably wouldn't be worth the...
Heya Dogs my FTY Vape and misc Custom wait lists have gotten out of control.. if you're on one of them and still waiting please send me a message or email and I'll get you slotted into the que.
Yeah heat port was opposite the plug. We've lost the archive a few times when rebuilding the website so at this point it probably only goes back 4-5 years, not nearly long enough for that vape.
Parakeets are awesome.. I've had a few of them over the years and a Lovebird. :D
Here is a pic of the original Tortuga Dog.. if I recall it was maybe 8" wide and 3" tall (ish)?
Some people took to calling it the 'Cheeseburger Dog' since most people held it like a burger while trying to use it. :D
The tubing is a standard (Schott) size and any glassworker or shop...
Totally round like a ball isn't doable with our current equipment, a turtle (Tortuga Dog) shape is about the best we can do with this gear and sanity level at this point.
Off to do battle with your custom! :borg:
Yeah those skinny hard woods like cocobolo can definitely make you play 'hot potato' with a vape lol.
I haven't seen one of those adjustable voltage models on the market in a while but I'm interested too so if you find one please share the info and if I come across one I'll do the...
Oooh, nice.. it's either a 'Classic Core' or an SC1, not really able to tell from the outside. I'm guessing SC1 since we made 10 times more of those than the CC. The CC was basically only made during the first year or two of UD.
I'd say that's fairly standard size for a Twig.
Hotter...
Yes those ones right there. They're listed as 'out of stock' but I actually have a small amount on hand.. just reserving them for the handful of Alpha's we're working on right now.
Oh, also, looks like I should have some Alpha 18mm GonGs and glass Direct Draw stems here in the next couple...
Soon come, soon come. :nod::cool:
Currently we only have the 18mm NonG but we're working on an 18mm GonG and glass Direct Draw. Hopefully we'll have those within a few months but with the way 2020 is going who knows how that will pan out in reality. :uhoh:
NonG or GonG? We have NonGs but...
Thanks for the offer, I think we're just going to leave it alone though.
Yes an SC3 fits in the same body style that the SC2 used so a retrofit like that is totally doable unless the old core has become permanently stuck in the body (mostly an SC1 issue).
I've got the parts on hand to...
@eideal852 - glad you like it dude!
In form or function?
Other than the different style options the SC3 designs are lower mass than the SC2 so they tend to heat up a tad quicker at a given wattage. It also better isolates the heat inside the core and reduces heat transfer and stress...
Thanks for the nice words friend! :woof woof! :D
Oh I'll definitely take your money dude.. my wallet is lighter than a helium balloon at this point.
How about after you have your TechLog and all the cores I can come up with for it we change your name to the TechLog Kid instead? Kind of...
Thanks everyone, we're excited to finally be getting back into it.. it's been a long, bumpy road since the fire that's for sure!
There's some pretty neat and exciting looking pieces in the FTY wood so far and I'm sure the best is yet to come. It's really interesting seeing the different blanks...
