The only reason to use a dome screen in front of the CU is to keep the CU cleaner. Helps especially if you stir. Rimmed basket screen can be useful to either hold herb in, or to push your herb further from the heater for a more even roast. Obviously, I have a favorite.:smug:

I can't speak on the longevity of the six shooter, but it cleans pretty well. The Everclear has been recycled for about a month now. Should make for some killer dabs later.

Don't forget an external charger. Fw7 can't charge internally. And don't get a crappy one either. I use nitecore i2. But there are other good ones also. 👍

I thought it was the opposite. The faster draw uses more convection (roastier top), and a slower draw uses more conduction (charred bottom).

I bought stems similar to these from Dhgate. The problem I had was air gap issues. Because the stem is a little "groovy," the o-ring stem holder wasn't a tight seal. It worked great if I sealed the top (where the stem and o-ring nut meet), but that was more hassle. How's the seal on those stems?

The stems look great. The downside to using these types of stems only affect those who like using capsules as it is impossible to push it from the opposite end. A non-issue if you don't use capsules.
