Best thing i can suggest burken is to spend your time reading the whole of this thread , it will answer all the questions you have and all the ones you have not considered yet , plus when you get it experiment and give it time as there are a million factors which effect its performance .

What i have found with the ssv is that there is so many variables eg every glass part is a completely different size , that you can only take other peoples advice with temps etc as a guide only . Experiment and just find the ranges you like and do not worry what other people use .

Experimenting is the best bet. I read up thoroughly on the ssv before buying but still posted asking questions in a panic when it did not work as expected , but the guys on this forum are extremely nice and patient :)

Check vitolos post above the vaporbrothers mini wand sounds good for you being US of A based.
