Co2 oil questions - health? Dab? Pen?

CO2 does not use a "solvent" per se. Under the right temperature and pressure conditions, CO2 will form a supercritical fluid and force the trichomes from the plant. The CO2 then evaporates, leaving the extract in its oily form. Even if there was residual CO2, there is no health concern, as CO2...

    EVERCLEAR extraction

Everclear is considered safer than ISO as it's food grade and a less aggressive solvent. That said, if you're just planning on ingesting the oil, there should be no discernible difference if you extract with ISO.

Looking for a solid desktop vape

Cheap: Lotus Midrange: LSV, Enano, HI (has long waiting list) High end: Cloud Evo, Sublimator. Actually I just read your last line- I think only the Cloud and the Sublimator are available with out-of-the-box concentrate solutions. However if you mostly vape oil, I would definitely look into...

    Best Practices: Private/Anonymous Online Purchasing?

If you use a standard debit or credit card, your bank will know that you shopped at a particular business, but they will NOT know your specific purchases. While this information is certainly available, I think your individual shopping profile (linked to your name) would not be accessible without...

    Concentrates for Noobs - Q&A

Blue dream is notorious for auto-buddering. I've run that strain twice and it's happened both times- even under stable purge conditions. Here's some lost tribe nug run I made last night- 18.6% return.

Tek BHO: BEST way to purge without vacuum?

I've had a vacuum for almost a year now and have to say it makes for a significant difference in oil quality. With a vac you can get away with temps as low as 100-120° and get clean tasty shatter, thanks to the negative pressure. Without the vac, you need higher temps to help remove as much...

    Epoxy Glue and Rig Repair

What's the name of the epoxy you used? If it cured hard, then I'd say the health risks are pretty minimal.

    SDS thread (Serious Dry Sifters)

So I tried [and failed] to make dry sift. I had some 150 and 75 micron filter bags lying around from a previous hash experiment, and figured i might as well do something with them. I made a couple frames from 1x2 lumber, cut the bags open, and then mounted them on the frames. I bought a...

    edibles questions

I've only really had couchlock from abv edibles and the first few times I had a heavy indica. Couchlock basically makes you feel heavy and slow (borderline lethargic), almost like you're underwater, and kinda tired. To give you an idea, I'm the kind of guy that can't sit still for much more than...

    edibles questions

ABV edibles get you seriously couch-lock stoned. Like DDave said, use caution when dosing as it is not fun if you take too much (and I imagine it'd be even less fun while visiting family).

Is bubble hash worth the effort?

Good bubble or dry sift is some of the tastiest cannabis extract I've tried. If taste is a priority, then I'd say it's worth your effort. However either method is both more time consuming and inefficient compared to BHO. Whereas as BHO can reliably yield 15-20%, you'll be lucky to get a third of...

How Legalizing Cannabis Extractions Will Decrease BHO Explosions

This article is highly speculative and doesn't seem to support its argument with any evidence. My biggest problem is with the text block I quoted; it assumes extraction explosions will decrease simply because concentrates are legally available. This totally ignores people who grow or have access...

    Question concerning hash oil

Damn that's a shitload of oil. Syringe oil is usually CO2 extracted while lower grade stuff is done with butane. To do a quick test on it, put some on a dabber and hold a lighter under it. If it reacts violently (i.e. sparks) it's usually a sign it contains excess residual solvents.

    Weird tasting wax?

Definitely agree with the heat holding ability- my first few dabs on my Hive were pretty badly overheated. Also I've read it's not recommended to heat ceramic to red-hot- Hive says that can reduce lifespan.

    The Arizer Air

Wow this thread has literally grown 25x since I posted in it about 3 weeks ago. After reading through half of it, I think I'll be getting an Air pretty soon. It's between that and a Flowermate, and I'm a little wary about the lack of information regarding Vapormax (they don't even have a...

    Question concerning hash oil

The only criteria for me to consider a hash edible, is if it's NOT top shelf nug run. I think it's a shame to waste tasty oil by cooking off the terpenes in a baked good. As long as hash is properly decarbed, it can be eaten; although it is advisable to mix with fat or alcohol prior to...
