This is a good point... even cutting the blank plate in an "I" shape to house the two screws top and bottom, and just the bar connecting them (not the full plate), should reduce the mass of the second plate quite a bit if you didn't want to use an insulator.
Can't really use desktops atm, which...
@sickmanfraud dunno about your second issue, but the first just sounds like normal behaviour for batteries that are past their best and prob due for replacement.
I have three Arizer Air 18650's that all do the same as you describe. Charge in the Nitecore to 4.2v take them out and pop them back...
Well done
I reckon thinner plates has got to be the way to go. Surely those big ones are robbing tons of heat (at least to start with)... though saying that, they're probably helping the temperature stability more later on, being thicker and all that :hmm:
Nice work
The bowl heats quickly regardless which unit you use, no discernible difference for me.
I love the hatch at the top on my dual for the two battery option... but don't like the way you swap the battery compartments/swap a single cell (and I do swap 'em often), but swapping cells in the og is a...
Bummer... I have an inverter I use for my nano, but it's a noisy annoying device and I'd rather not tbh.
Was even thinking of a 12v log just so I can stop using it...
My favourite thread on FC
Not enough knowledge/skills to get involved, but I'm keeping a close eye on this one.
Can't wait to see what you lot come up with, and have to say very impressed with this whole approach by RBT
Keep up the good work
UK420.com
Uk based site with servers in the Netherlands... personally haven't seen a better one. Jumped ship to there just around the time Overgrow got took down :rip:

 on the interim stem pod project. Looks great :nod:Thought of doing 18mm ss stems for it?? Just an idea... dunno how feasible it would be, maybe they'd get too hot? :hmm:
Area 510 Labs/inc/corp or whatever might be an idea for a better choice than "project" (for the above stated reasons)...
I've been considering doing exactly the same myself...
I get nice Moroccan hash from source from time to time. Not full melt but bubbles nicely nevertheless and is pretty nice.
Usually I use my lotus, with the hash on a bed of flower. It's nice, but you get that problem, as mentioned...
I found my Blackwood solo stem pretty neutral, especially compared to the amboyna burl nano stem I have... you can really taste the wood with the amboyna...
I'll be going with Blackwood for mine
@frosty234 are you using the joytech updater?? Maybe try this: enter the recovery mode by taking out the battery. hold the plus button pressed while plugging it in via usb. The computer should recognise the device and then be it should be able to be updated again, after that the display should...
