Haven't visited FC in a while and man, it's good to be back! I've been through the Reddit wringer dealing with pissed off Hopper-haters. With luck their ranks should be thinning out steadily as Hopper Lab's service and reliability continues to improve. Some observations:
1. How many of you...
Just received my repaired Hopper under warranty. Took a little more than a month but it came back undamaged and working better than ever. For some reason I've been very lucky with my three RMA experiences. One in '18 took a few months but that was when they were swamped because of that issue...
As far as coughing goes, I found that two quick hits of a half scoop at 750º were virtually cough-free. But I prefer lower temps in the 680º - 710º range where I can put two scoops in the bowl and consume in a less hasty manner. I find that if I make my first inhalation on the moderate side...
Gee, I'd love to know when that May shipment of batteries is going to arrive...maybe they meant May 2020? No, I don't mean to start another pile-on but I'd hoped that communication on something like this would be more upfront. I'm concerned about the trade tension with China. They've...
I ordered my third Hopper for the 420 sale and it arrived in a week. It's my first SS unit and I wonder why I didn't order one originally — SS machines more nicely than TI and the threading is much smoother. I fired it right up and the experience was superb. Considering the problems the...
The medium plate will handle most of your needs. I like the coarse for rolling spliffs and stuffing into bowls for the combustion crowd. The medium works great in my portables, but the fine plate works really well in the FlowerPot spread out in a thin layer on the wide 20 mm screen.
The BC fine plate will leave you with a fluffy product which is very similar to the NV fine grinder. The BC is the only grinder which has actually caused me to change my vaping routine!
One of those serendipitous discoveries — using the NewVape Pax scoop works really well for transferring ground bud from the bottom of the BC to the vape oven. The titanium scoop isn't affected by the strong magnet in the BC! Makes it so easy!
I've had this fine grinder for a few weeks now and, after second-guessing whether I really needed to spend this much on a grinder, I'm very satisfied with the purchase.
Like some others here, I was a little surprised at how small the whole unit was. I normally use a big Space Case for my...
I hear you. So many of the torches are just cheap pieces of shit. I bought a bag of them on someone's recommendation and not one of them would generate a good ⅝" flame. The Jobon lighter they're carrying on site now is good, however.
Do you think there'd be any sense in using some sort of composite material in place of wood for the vapor cap? It would need to be of similar density and have similar insulating properties. I'm thinking some sort of ceramic material? I mention this because wood does scorch and threads for the...
I've got a question about the PAX2 and glass. I seldom use my PAX2 but I do like to bring it out when guests want to vape because it's so simple to use. I have the NV water pipe adapter and the hits through my bubbler are impressive. But I'm not sure about the right technique when it comes to...
I find that the FlowerPot will handle a fine grind very well — I think it's because of the large diameter screen which allows you to spread the weed out in a thin layer and lets it reach the vaping point evenly and efficiently.
I'm waiting for my hematite to show up. I ordered all three plates. I felt sort of weird spending that much on a grinder but even though I have some top notch grinders I always felt that the process could be improved. When doing a fine grind, even on my 3½" Space Case, there always seems to...
How does the Solo 2 work as an "on demand" unit? I'd like to buy a vape for my wife and she doesn't like any of mine. No butane, not interested in glass. Is it efficient to use the Solo as a one hitter?
I'd hate to see a lot of effort on NV's part to solve something which isn't even a serious problem! I got hung up over this once and went out, got a 2½x¼" SS cap screw and screwed it into one of the threaded openings in the base so it held up the end of the handle. Then I thought about it a...
It was the reviews on FC and Reddit that got me to take the plunge. One thing, though — the Ditanium is a good-looking, self-contained unit. It would look great in anyone's living room. The FP looks more industrial, a collection of components, something you might find in a laboratory — and...
