Massdrop have said they will fulfil the warranty themselves
Here's a quote from an admin
"The 10 warranty will be honored by Massdrop and the Manufacturer, but if the Manufacturer will not honor their authentic products warranty, Massdrop will step in to facilitate the warranty on your behalf."
Send them a couple more messages via the Massdrop help section and they will eventually get back to you.
They have agreed to a refund so I have sent the unit back.

Just got my Solo today from Vapefiend
Have to say I'm used to the Flowermate V5.0s which is nice but this solo is awesome.
Only thing I must ask is the glass stem supposed to be so loose in the unit? I have a bit of OCD or something so it bugs me a tiny bit.
Airflow is the second of the problems for me (doesn't sound hopeful about those holes in the tube that were blocked),it's the fact that it makes my herbs taste like total and utter shit even after a weeks solid use that really really bugs me.
I'm going to send this bullshit back if I can and...
I have this theory too,I have been testing the straw at different lengths and it does seem to make a difference to me.

Well I bought it from a uk vape shop online and it was in the flowermate spares section,I can't find my old charger right now to compare but I would assume it was the same specs.
Any one know if a flowermate v5 charger is any different to a v5.0s charger?
The unit seems to charge within seconds sort of indicating what you are saying which is that the battery has died.I don't fancy taking it apart I have fingers like cows tits so I will probably break it and it's still under warranty so I will send it back.

I have the green light on the bottom saying it's fully charged but when I go to power it up I get the red flashing light to say it's out of charge.
I've only had this unit 4 months could the batteries have died on me already?
Can't get rid of that smell....it's really put me off this device,gonna have to get someone else to have a few goes on it to hopefully get that smell away.
Yes I cannot get a decent look inside but I can see from the mouthpiece to a third of the way down the unit then it changes into some other surface possibly metal it's something shinier or lighter in colour on mine.
