Have you found out if the top part can be disassembled for easier cleaning on the Slim XL? I've only found the mouth tip to be removable. I ended up just soaking the whole top part (the piece with airholes) in iso.
I'm very happy with my stainless steel Slim XL so far. My old Orb 4 in black...
Does anyone use the Orb/Slim 4 with a Tesla Stealth 40W boxmod?
It makes an incredibly tiny package, but threading the Orb/Slim into the boxmod is difficult. Most of the time I can't thread it tight enough for the atomizer to be recognized by the boxmod. Once tight, it's nearly impossible to...
Been happily using my Orb 4 for months now with the nail bucket atomizers. i still think quartz is the best for taste, but I use the titanium more since it's durable and seems to heat more predictably. I've shattered one quartz while scrubbing burnt carbon off the inside (my fault using too...
Got my replacement Orb 4 that Source is sending out to everyone with the stronger magnets. Using it for two days, it seems to be a better balance of magnet strength and ease of use. It can still come off unintentionally in a pocket or bag, but much less so than the previous version, and it's...
My fav is the Ti nail. It's for low temp, flavourful vaping. All the double coil atomizers it comes with are more for ripping and bigger hits. The coils with quartz wicks are supposed to taste the best, the black ceramic is for your runnier concentrates, and the white ceramic is in between.
Just an FYI to watch out for: my Orb 4 magnet on the bottom piece came out. I assume it was glued in but I'm not certain.
I was having quite a long, low temp session with it, taking smooth 10 second draws every ~30-50 seconds for 15 minutes. Ran it on my iStick Pico in TC-Ni mode, 20W max...
Initial use of the Orb 4: I never want to use a screw-threaded mouthpiece ever again! The Orb 4's magnetic attachment system is the biggest leap in vape pen ease of use since...forever. Frequent small reloads are much more hassle free.
A slight amount of finger pressure will disconnect the...
I have both nails: the original Source eNail in Ti, ceramic, and quartz, and the new nail design (mine's Ti) that comes with the Orb 4. Just got it yesterday so I have zero experience in using the new one, but the design certainly seems more streamlined. It's obviously updated to prevent user...
Really? Mine all arrived loose in an envelope from Source and thus were all disassembled and mixed. I looked at the atomizer housings and heater donuts but they all look the same and I can't tell them apart.
The Puffco Plus is a full proprietary vape pen system. I don't think it will thread onto your Source eNail.
The Source Nail when used as a high temp eNail likely doesn't have the bubble issue I'm having, since the temps would be too high for bubbles to last long. The bubbling issue is only for...
Further testing of the Source Nail in the Orb XL: bubbles are becoming an issue once in a while. Not a deal breaker, but slightly annoying.
Bubbling of your concentrate in the Nail's bowl can happen if the concentrate is overloaded, the temp is too low, or if you're drawing too lightly...
Tried out the Orb XL with the Source Nails in it. Have some insight that might help.
First, I must say that hitting the Quartz nail like a "load and go" vape pen is incredibly good. Cleaner taste than any other vape pen system I've used, even better than the Quartz Terra donut.
I put the...
Great info, it does seem like everyone has personal favorite settings. I have found that different concentrates need different settings (wax, shatter, live resin, etc). It makes sense since they all have different viscosities and thus melting/vaporizing points.
I'm currently vaping some live...
Thank you for all this great info. TC mods seem complicated at first but you break it down into understandable chunks.
The only part I haven't figured out yet is how to choose the correct custom TCR value, and why you would want to use TCR mode. Also, how important is it that your TCR is...
For the CF with WPA, if I'm buying glass on dhgate would I be better served with a D020 or a Pinnacle Pro bubbler? I mainly use my CF while laying down on the sofa watching TV.
You guys both answered my question from earlier: whether the WPA can be used with a glass piece as a replacement mouthpiece. This is great. I'm going to look for a small, compact jhook. Thanks!
Has anyone worked out an alternative mouthpiece for the CF/CFX?
My CF mouthpiece gets too hot for my lips sometimes after two sessions, and I'm not entirely comfortable soaking these plastics in ISO and saving the reclaim. Would rather collect reclaim from glass or metal.
The WPA is all...
