I was a cabinet and furniture maker, but was also trying to break into the art world doing segmented bowls. My entire family (my dad, his dad, my uncles) were all builders and I started working on jobsites around age 11. I didn’t get serious with cabinets and moldings until I was about 27, but I...
From a wood workers perspective, it really depends on your location also. Some wood on the west coast is just too expensive for us east coasters and vice versa. Also @nonamekevin is right about the importance of tree diameter. Wood that is not quarter sawn (or capable of being quartered) is more...
It’s earmarked for Juniors because the width and thickness of the board. Sadly it was wet when we got it and it’s twisting as it dries. I’m not sure how much usable material we are going to have after planing and jointing. We did a very small batch of olive JR’s about a year ago. If maple or...
I’m biased because I’m the one picking the raw material, but the canary is consistently the most beautiful, with the black limba a close second. The variety in tones in both those woods, and the way they finish has rapidly made them my favorite. We have some olivewood in the kiln and I’m quite...
@nonamekevin thanks so much to you and everyone for tuning in. It was truly an honor to be on the show. The passion the Modern Cannabists bring to our community is infectious, and I was so happy to be able to give away several special units from our collection. Thanks again everyone!

Quick tip: dome the screen on your finger, then drop it in with the dome pointing up (away from the bowl) then depress the center with the stir stick and it will stay in place. The bowl area is intentionally .5mm smaller then the screen because I personally hate it when the screen falls out with...
@ArkansasJack if you push the stainless piece into the mouthpiece side with a little force it will friction fit solidly into place. If you have an older model OG the small o-ring fits around that piece, but you would see the seat for it on the mouthpiece side. Hope this helps.
The bent intake for the Jr/Runt (or taller bent intake for the Flip) will work with any of our devices.
All chamber diameters are the same on all devices, only the depth is different. The Jr and Runt chambers are very similar in capacity .25-35, the Flip .20-.30, the OG/Maxx .35-.45 although if...
@whatitdew they will be back in stock at some point. The mini bubblers (and other stock glass) had to be prioritized. If you email productsupport@stickybricklabs. com we can notify you when they are back in.
@TheResistance what we have learned is lighters (and torches) that come pre-filled are generally using whatever flammable fluid is cheapest at the moment. This could be a combination of butane, propane, and whatever filler is cheap. For shipping purposes we have to send empty torches, but beyond...
You can put the Restrictor up into the glass rather than down through the hole. Vaguely, I’m guessing your OG is at least 12-14 months old if the hole is too small. While all the devices we have in stock have the larger hole, I can only imagine the difficulty retailers have maintaining...
I’m glad it’s working for you lazylathe!
We posted the following on a Reddit thread regarding the new (ridiculous) law in Massachusetts:
SBL will have to stop sales to Massachusetts until this is sorted out. As a small company we have no means to fight this ban the way we would like to, but we...
@lazylathe if you want to drill that hole larger use 17/64th or 1/4” spiral bit. If you enlarge that hole be sure to stick a pin through the air circulation hole as it is likely to get clogged up from drilling. Hope this helps.
