I've been using the new 14mm GonG, both direct and through a straight tube, and it's been awesome.

The glass stem will help you. It is leaving the abv a bit lighter and the taste is back. I haven't played with the screen placement yet, but I think it came in the perfect spot. So far, this thing is a beast.

I might have the same situation on my hands. I think I almost combusted a couple of times. No ash, but very dark abv. It seems to affect the taste some, but the vapor I'm getting is insanely dense. More later. Left is UD, Right is CRZ

Just to refresh my memory.....the twigs usually run hotter than the full size? Twigs heat up faster, but both are made for 24/7 operation? Also, is it possible to upgrade the 3pk of direct draw stems to the GonG stems for the price difference?
