Feel better, man. Remember to let your recovery happen in it's own time- do not rush it. And don't forget to eat lots of post-surgical potassium, iron, and fiber (the latter for the colon's recovery from general anesthetic). General rule, you should be getting sick of bananas and spinach...
Back to lighter food. A fusion thing- roast sirloin and sugar snaps in oyster sauce and demiglace. Beef demiglace, oyster sauce, rice wine vinegar, white burgundy, tamari, garlic, shallot, ginger, horseradish, rosemary, and chives.
I've been good and lost a little weight. So I made myself some proper fatty French food for the 1st time in a while. Braised pork tenderloin in demiglace and aioli - pork tenderloin braised in Amontillado, beef demi, mushrooms, garlic, shallots, and rubbed sage, garnished with arugula and...
Unless coconut oil has some chemical solvent property other plant oils do not, it would have to be heated (to at least around 240F) to get infused with cannabinoids.
I am particularly sensitive to the taste of coconut (no idea why but I am) so I gotta disagree- for me infused coconut oil always...

There are actually over 100 languages native to China, not counting dialects. What is usually called Chinese by Americans is Mandarin (a dialect of Gan).
My favorite import from Yiddish to English that people do not realize came from it is 'Meh'. The closest English is 'baah'. Like 'baah' is the English for the sound a sheep makes, 'meh' is a version of the Yiddish for the noise a goat makes. It came to be a stand-in for any obnoxious noise, or...
By 'tarry' I meant the archaic for 'delay'. Rhymes with Larry.
Funnily enough I actually spoke coherent Yiddish before I could speak coherent English. Wish I still spoke it- it's officially a dying language. But we were encouraged to speak English and Hebrew instead of Yiddish as I got older.
Pronounce them how they're spelled? Ay as in 'nary' or 'scary' in Mary; 'eh' like Jerry in 'merry'; 'a' like 'carry' or 'tarry' in 'marry'.
May be relevant to my experience of this, almost everyone I have known is multilingual. As a Jew from a somewhat observant community, all my Jewish...
The you/y'all map completely left out the one I grew up with - "yous". As in "yous guys" or "yous are assholes".
I do not believe the one about Mary / merry / marry - I've lived in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and North Carolina, and I have never met anyone who pronounces those three words...
A treat for Jack Kirby fans- I cannot believe I did not know this existed. Back in 1973, when the NFL was still somewhat cool and not just corporate, they hired Jack Kirby to imagine a futuristic version of football. Here is the main pic.
Here's link to more of the art from this awesome...
Though I swore to myself I had to stop spending $$$ on comics collectibles, I did it again. Just bought a new in box version of the rare 2013 San Diego ComicCon Deadpool Corps set with the taco truck. As soonas I got my VAS and GAS under some kind of control, I go all comics nuts. What is a...
Oh. My. God. My two favorite characters. I even have both of the action figures in the pic from the announcement.

One of my favorite authors (and human beings) Terry Pratchett has died after grappling with early onset Alzheimer's. I'm still reeling from the news. We knew 'Raising Steam' was the final Discworld novel, but it is still shock.
