You're not going to wear out the wood battery cover. You literally have to remove a wood cover to reload the bowl every time FFS.

What I really want is a vape spittoon top for this and the FW9. I sometimes try to blow unload then in the normal vape spittoon and if the load doesn’t come out in a compressed puck it goes everywhere.

I just got my RMA back with the new lid and the storage installed. The new lid is an improvement over the original and seems like it'll be user serviceable. I expect he'll start selling the glass and spring as replacement parts. I'm having some trouble getting the storage lid in place easily...

Update: Marc sent me a shipping label to return my FATX for repair. He is also working on design tweaks for the lid to improve reliability. Excellent. :)

P30B is what I run in everything now. Works fine in the FATX. I don't think so, I think it's just the normal friction of sliding the lid on and off that puts any stress on the glass. Maybe the pad of my finger slightly touches the glass when I use the lip of the window hole to slide the lid...

I didn't remove it. It fell out while sliding the lid off to load the bowl. It's not a removable part. It's a full failure.

Well this is a bummer. While sliding the lid off for a bowl change the glass fell out. Seems it’s held in by a lip that failed.

More curious on if and how we can remove the bowl and joint ceramics to torch clean like I can with the FW9 bowl and joint.

Anyone else with a FATX figure out how to remove the heater and joint ceramics for deep cleaning? The instructions don't cover this or screen removal/replacement.

Anyone else notice that he calls it the "Walnut Firewood Aroma Tech X"? This indicates to me that there may eventually be other woods. Perhaps a PurpleHeart FATX?
