I've got a wand and an inductor. The wand is the old model, with the little toggle switch. I use the Inductor at home and the Wand when I travel. My process for each is very different: Inductor especially allows for a lot of finessing. The Wand less so. I often preheat, but when I'm in a hotel...

    Vestratto Tornado heating tips

Yep. But everyone's mileage varies of course. Gives a completely different vapor signature (to me) though. Avoid torching into the holes

In the same boat on that front. Metalworking and electronics are 2 separate disciplines for a company.

    Vestratto Tornado heating tips

I don't mean how long the battery lasts but how much energy can the device put into the Tornado. The Inductor is a beast in that respect. I'm looking for very short heat ups: 3 seconds max. I don't want to cook the flower for 20+ seconds. The Forge is a complement to the Tornado, precisely...

    Vestratto Tornado heating tips

I bought an inductor because I consider the Wand to be under-powered for the tornado. Either that or a torch. Tornado needs a lot of energy.

a pipe cleaner with some iso to clean the oven and a q tip with some iso to clean the bowl and that's it. I don´t mind it's got patina on the outside.

What are the defects again? Happy user from the pre-order days. I have no complaints.

OG stem fits, I popped on the oven unit without an adapter. I have the XL mouthpiece. Excellent that way, although I'm now looking at stem options. No customizable airflow. Tornado has a simple/not simple construction

[there's also a thread dedicated to Tornado heating] I set my wand to 320 C, which gives 25 clicks. I preheat with the oven in for the full 25 clicks. Then I unscrew the oven, cram in a nug of flower, and heat with the wand a second time, while drawing. After a few seconds, you'll hear the...

I count out at about 3 seconds and don't mind any clicks. Upstream someone is cooking their herb for 50 seconds. I was in the long and slow camp before, but not anymore once I tried blasting. Changed the game. I wonder what is the precision you are trying to achieve.

In my experience Tornado likes fierce and short, not long and slow. I had to unlearn my Anvil habits

It's the way the device builds up and distributes heat. I use a camouflet inductor, but I also torch with a kitchen torch at full blast. And the best technique is to blast for max 3 seconds, let the heat distribute and draw. Usually, that's when the disc will click. My experience is that if you...

I cut out a disk of 1mm thick cork and dropped that in from the bottom. I just let the tornado rest on that, this gives good results. I have a very old wand, the one still with the flower/concentrate switch and I can drop in from the top too, but for me ( I vape in bed a lot, haha) it's not that...

I'd have brought out a series of adapters and would have started development on a dedicated Vestratto Tornado stem to start building the eco system already. And I would also advise John (unsolicited of course) to start developing a Forge head for the Camouflet Induction power source.
