I just can't help but to feel as though your lid looks a lot like the portion of my lid that deformed. If you're happy with it then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Clean them up with iso and take a pic. It starts as a completely smooth edge all the way around. Yours definitely looks like mine started to even after one session. If you aren't looking closely enough it may like residue build up but it's actually bubbled plastic.

But... Both of those mouth pieces are slightly melted.

So does anyone here know how to remove the lid? or have a link to instructions on doing so?

So you're bending the thicker metal rim at the top of the bottom piece inward? .

You see, I thought the same thing when I ordered it. It's actually a Formax 420 from DH gate but it looks identical to the SLX design. Though I haven't gotten a chance to try it out yet.

From personal experience, I take my Herbie all over and i'm definitely rough with it (not being careful with the bag I carry it around in, at all) and i've had it for around 2 years. Still works like day one.
