Welp, I figured if those rings are silver then it should be superficial so I went ahead and pulled out a metal file and was able to remove the corrosion by lightly filing along the rings, following the factory grind. It is still not OK at this price point and I guess some units did not get...

Maybe not fine enough, and turning the thing upside down perhaps sends a few particles dropping through that screen. However, for me having a titanium screen in the heater (rather than ss) is more important.

Heavy use needs water filtration regardless of the vape. i would remove the cooling insert and use a bubbler instead. A lot of people here overthink stuff and have a cleaning obsession. If you don't combust, you don't need to clean a vaporiser after evey use.

Assuming there is no debris entering the heater and going by what I've seen with the bigger ballers, this probably happens because of micro-blowback which pushes some vapor backwards into the heater so maybe has to do with inhalation technique and air intake settings as well.
