Thanks for the reply, that answered all of my questions! No, there is no oil or burn off from the heater itself. I did the proper heat break in and never saw any off-gassing. Only residue is where the stem rests and in the stem itself, keep in mind I am a lightweight though and it takes 4 heavy...

I 2nd reading the PNP thread! I just about bought it yesterday but ended up buying a Solo today (not as stealthy but the FC community has given good reviews) If the taste was rated a little higher and no mouthpiece issues, I would have a new PNP on the way :(

I have no idea, asking the manufacturer would be best IMHO. You can test the battery with a multimeter to rule it out though before you buy a new one (if needed) I AM SOOOO PUMPED! I don't even have the unit yet but if pleases me it shalt be called 'HAN' (SOLO)... so dibs on that name :)
