I think that might be a reasonable expectation, especially considering this is a convection device. It probably works best with a lot of airflow anyways. So I can't use kif in it.. oh well. You'll definitely get your fat rips :tup:

One thing I have noticed about the GH is you can't really draw slowly through it. They have some way of detecting that you're drawing so that they can auto-shutoff and maintain temperature, but it's not very sensitive. Safety is just as important as anything else. The problem could be worse than foreign object causing a short in the back end. There could be a bad decision made in the circuit design (like adding unnecessary resistance in the back end).

I did notice that my GH backend does get very hot, but only when I have the temp set at 5 and I'm ripping it hard. I sent them an email about it. I hope these guys had actual electrical engineering experience...

Yep. I assume that's because I also have the SS case, WPA, and oils front end included in that single order, and those aren't available yet.

Has anyone mentioned which delivery service GH is using? If @Grepper got his without receiving tracking info, maybe mine really is on its way. There is a new way to view USPS parcels without tracking numbers and it doesn't show anything on it's way here, so hopefully they're using UPS or FedEx.

I also got my confirmation on 7/20 and have not received a shipping notice, but my status on the site now says "Partially Shipped" which is great news since I haven't seen that before! My guess is that I'll receive an email this evening when their batch process is scheduled to send out...

I emailed GH a week ago to see what was up since I was seeing later early bird backers than me already getting their units. He promptly sent me the address confirmation email, but I still haven't gotten a shipping notice. So either there's a long list now or they're waiting on something.

Early bird backer - July 2015. If they are claiming to be able to assemble 4000 units per month by sometime in July, then they must have gotten a lot of preorders given some people having to wait till September... I'm getting annoyed now.

It said on track to produce 1000 a week by July. So they probably can't get that volume just yet. But extrapolating back I don't see why they can't 250 per week right now, which is enough for me to get mine :)

There are 123 holiday backers and 120 early bird backers. Being one of the first early bird backers, I was hoping the update would at least give some indication of when early birds units would ship. I'll be pretty disappointed if I don't get my address confirmation this week or next.

Indeed the mobile version of indiegogo doesn't appear to have any way of viewing updates. Maybe there is some way to switch it to the desktop version...
