I have not but I used cotton balls in the IO eons ago for giggles. It is recommended that you get organic cotton balls as they haven't been treated chemically ;)

If you want to reclaim from your tube I wouldn't use plastic personally. I'd find a glass thingy-do to soak it in. As much as I'm not a big fan of lighter vapes for your situation - sounds like that would be your best bet. I'd grab a VG in your shoes I think.

The charger has a round base and it seems the unit can be put on facing either direction. Long as the contacts are engaged - it starts charging. Not sure why turning it around helped though.
