Nailed it. I can't imagine the vented lid actually being a positive on the vapor production. If anything it would allow the oven to go below temp WAY easier, and make it even harder to get good vapor. Then again I've never used it, I could be totally wrong.

I would scrub it hardcore, and consider putting on a new mouth piece as well as getting a new screen altogether, not just trying to clean your old one. But I would still be too paranoid to do it at all i think.

It got so bad that no amount of cleaning would get it in good shape, and one time it was just too stuck and I pushed too hard and it chipped pretty good. I didn't notice poor performance or vapor quality though, even while the screen was very very dirty. Definitely going to have to clean it...

Vapor seems to taste heavily of things I eat or drink before I vape. Even bushing my teeth before gives the vapor a great menthol feeling and taste and smell if I exhale back out through my nose. Ate a bunch of sour strawberry candy and the herb plus sour strawberry was incredible.
