I was actually thinking yesterday it might work really well with a coil shroud like the Liger that would also make contact under the dish, so radiant heat would be redistributed to the nail like a flat coil. Just an idea.

I'm really interested in the D-Nail Lotus since the form factor seems very compact (for a desktop) and easily interfaces with glass water tools; there's almost zero information on it though.

You should check out the RBT Splinter. Honestly the form factor isn't amazing IMO but the hits it produces look more legit than any portable I've seen yet.

The term you are probably thinking of is sublimation but you would have to dab incredibly hot to be truly sublimating as far as I understand. Yes a dab off a banger ( or any nail) is conduction, but keep in mind as soon as you carb it a convective environment is created.

That's interesting, I've always found convection concentrate use wasteful and unsatisfying compared to doing a proper dab. You really prefer the flavor off a SS pad over quartz or SiC? Is it because of the barrel coil? Have you ever dabbed off a flat coil eNail?

Source Quartz Plus is like what you speak of, but you might be better trying the Source Nail with Quartz insert. Rosin does not work well with coils at all, gonna gunk them up very quickly due to all the plant fats and material still in the extract.
