I'll try preheating the cap more, it seemed to give better vapor production last night at the expense of it being difficult to handle, I need to get the new cap.
I've had some showerhead dabs I thought tasted pretty good, but at those temps the vapor production seems low compared to my quartz...
Does anyone else struggle to get good vapor production when dabbing on the showerhead? It's like I'll put a good sized glob on, but it doesn't produce much vapor.
Hydrocarbon extract but no THCA crystals, not a true high terp pouroff, it was pull-n-snap I post processed with a touch of heat. It's real thick, but thin enough that it fills back in after scooping a dab.
So it seems like the Trinity works best with thicker oils? I have some thick sauce that still fills itself in after scooping a dab out - would this work in the Trinity without diluting?
Dark hashish is dark because it has lots of contaminate in it, that's why when you rosin squish dark hash (at low temps) you still get this.
Cured mature resin heads are darker, but not dark in an unappealing way, like green rosin.
Yes, darker/greener = hotter temps but can also suggest older and or outdoor starting material.
The photo I posted is from a $30 straightener using good organic flowers and low temps (220F and under)
Yeah those carts are expensive, sauce in general is really expensive here in SoCal. My main point wasn't even to specify this brand, I mostly just wanted to show you their mix which I thought was really smart, adding in HTFSE to flavor distillate. I really like that idea since cannabis derived...
The way I see it is higher temps on the PID increase the thermal mass of the Showerhead body but don't necessarily mean a higher temp draw; it's up to us to fine tune our experience with grind size, packing density, draw rate, and carb capping. I've been getting some big thick hits at higher...
