Comfortably take anywhere out in the woods or comfortably take anywhere in the city? Hell, if it was the city, I wouldn't recommend the Lotus simply because you have to use a flame. Actually, I don't think I'd feel comfortable using ANY portable out in public where there's a lot of people.

When I used to eat out a lot, I did too, but it really depended on the service. Great service, VERY generous tip. Average service............average tip.
Now HERE'S a portable that actually looks like it could compete with desktop vapes in the vapor production department as long as it doesn't take the full 400 degrees to produce those kinds of clouds. That temp is a bit high for my tastes. I wonder how much draw speed affects the temps.

If the choice is limited to those two vapes, I would choose the DBV if I was primarily going to be vaping solo but if using a vape in party situations is going to happen often, the Q, I think, would be the better choice.
