If it is ruby I bet oil runs all the way up the sidewalls from the major conductivity difference, just like when using pearls in a quartz banger.

I suppose it could be argued that Storz & Bickel themselves had 20 years to improve on the Volcano if they really wanted to. The Hybrid might not be a radical redesign, but it does appear to combine the cumulative experience learned from all previous S&B vaporizers.
