To condition use it until its dead a few times and fully charge it each time it dies. There should be a small loose machined washer on the mouthpiece tube so that's normal. Also just a tip I try to pass on to people let it cool b4 you put it on the charging dock. If its still hot the resin wants...

Pretty sure to release it you have to remove the torque screw on the back and release the mouthpiece manually. There's a post with pics a page or two back.

Visibility of the vapor has much to do with your filler. I have ran many strands through it in the week since it arrived and played with all the temps on each strand. Also I have not had any issues at all with my pax! (maybe I'm one of the lucky ones) although it's still been less than a week so...
