Yeah, I feel like just getting some acrylic mix from a hobby store in flat bottom bowl you could make a decent base for fairly cheap. Not sure what kind of releasing agent you would need in the bowl; not motivated enough to look that far into it :)

On the plus side it seems the V1 list of “complaints” from customers is very small, very focused, and very fixable. Wonder how long V2 will take.
