The latest beta versions look a lot better than the early splinter. The wood finish is really nice on the maple. Looking forward to getting my hands on one.

I did something similar with wood filler on my milaana - it looked fine and cured my OCD. It is a little diasapointing - but i would fill sand and forget. Not worth returning it in my opinion.

If that was me i would put a tiny amount of matching wood filler in the gap very carefully. Then when set - lightly sand with some very fine sandpaper.
