Yes some coats the walls but scrapes off if that's a issue. I go through water so I like a fine grind,fast extraction and giant clouds. Mrs.arb goes dry through the glass stem and like course for no Scooby snacks. Like everything else vapor related it is a matter of taste.

Coffee grinder,herb mill is my absolute first choice for a grinder. Course.......2 quick pulses, fine 4 quick pulses. My life quality index shot the fuck up with mine.........but I grind a lot of flower. Been using the same one cor almost three years now and still going strong. 🙃

So they changed the sleeve which was causing the cracking is what I was told. Mine all cracked within the first two weeks of use if I remember correctly. Not really hearing about units cracking since then?

I had 5 cracked bodies 3 on a maple and 2 on a cherry. Sent them in each time and my understanding is they changed the metal sleeve to help alleviate this a couple years ago. The last replacement bodies are still intact so the fix must be a good one?

Heat it up with a small torch......not red just hot. Gently tap and pull is what works for me,be patient.

I only remove screens when soaking the adapter in iso. I am kind of OCD so I clear the screen every load which prevents any heavy buildup........blow it out hot never let spent flower cool in the adapter. Screens last years without being torched.

Stick it in and suck at your normal rate. Dial the setting down until it matches you........makes it easier to not think about it.

Nothing worse than waking up with a clogged tip. 😝

I usually just hit it hard empty to get it hot then blow out hard. Reheat then carefully blow the other way. That usually clears them back to free flowing. Sucking and blowing.........like a big dog.

They go over the outside of the alpha core.They have a 1\2 inch id so........the core has a 1\2 od roughly.

Curiosity got me and it seems machining quartz takes the same tools and knowledge as machining steel. Just takes diamond bits and a water drip. You can literally use a drill press and milk jug with a gravity fed cooling system. You can just get the basic shape as blanks then just make them shits...
