Agreed. Combustion is pyrolysis, it fundamentally decomposes the material. You can cook the hell out of an organic material without it combusting. EDIT: Of course, if you are getting actual ash then that sounds like combustion.

IIRC it's 3-5 o'clock that is "turbo mode", for use with concentrates. But the unit should not combust.

I have plenty of clearance with the Ion, and the EVO should be a tad more. I still use a CB though, makes it a bit easier to use and with the carb you don't have to lift to Cloud to clear.
