We'll update the documentation. Original Clouds were heating up in 5 minutes but what we found was that we were redlining the heater too much and it was causing some to burnout. In order to increase the longevity, we reduced the amount of maximum heat the heater would put out but the drawback...

Not sure if this has been answered but the flickering lights happen when the heater is on/off. Depending on the temperature, you will see different types of blinking patterns, nothing to be concerned about.
