Fluxer Heaters, induction heaters for Dynavap

You are welcome @sag :D 15mm v. 16mm = intensity 15mm gets the job done 16mm gets the job done a little slower. 16mm is a little more forgiving in tuning. If you like low temp caps, you might like 16mm better. If you want to get the job done - 15mm. Anything in between - you can't go wrong -...

Yea, Jeff underplays those pouches. Mine only leave their shell to charge or change batteries. Then the pouch protects the wayward-bound cover [magnet!]

The DynaVap suffers cold a lot more than the Flite. Draw quick! Actually cold li-ion cells will yield less capacity. If you keep Flite in your pockets most of the time, no problem. I keep my two comfy in their cozies. But they don't get out if I can help it.

I don't notice a difference between Ti and SS but I also heat to the default coil. There's a vid a few pages back. Truly, the only difference in 15mm hot v. 15mm default is a little added delay to the click. 10-15% extra on 7 seconds is merely 1 second. That is a lot of heat in a tightly...

One tip - first thing; solder any coil onto the ZVS. 60 watts is fine. Just tack it in place with a proper short bead. I will admit that 40W for irons today probably suck. My RadShack iron has been my buddy for an eternity. There is nothing this thing won't tackle and the tips are...

Hey there @Rei_Gado and welcome to FC. HalfPint requires a higher level soldering skills in order to effectively splice a high draw conductor to the very center of the inductor winding [choke in days gone by]. It is both craftmanship and experience that lets you make that connection reliably...

@dynavapmuser - Table top stabilization is not required. I find myself with a Flite in my hands more often then resting. I have one of each device and honestly, they are interchangeable because it is in my hands already, not in spite of it. That makes the manual switch less of an If you...

Any tip except '20-M and any cap on a FQ stem. Carb's be damned. Oh Fav... well, still love my '18-M tip and cap for the FQ stem. They needed help but that's what the edge is all about.

Your thoughts are aligned with mine @Texus - brass I can cut on my lathe. Problem... don't got no brass  But I am envisioning a nice 'ExtraCated ThumbWheel' vibe with some soft tooth pattern, where the diameter was just above the deck. It's brewing in my mind as the reverse taper back to...

Well, if you're going nipple anyway, I think the shaft could also be shortened. I like @NexVision idea - incorporate PWM in a very fancy 'badge' linked to an internal pot somehow. Fiddly but fuck it would look good! These would actually work - and easy to make your own at a local hobby...

I can see knob upgrades coming. I'll have to see if my Flowering Quince will make a reliable knob. It does have a classic vibe though. What kind of integration were you thinking @RustyOldNail ?
