IIRC, stickstones said that an ELB fits in his SSV's wand? You might try doing that, as it would give a more even comparison. But, if it's possible to somehow pack that little of an amount in the want by itself, that would honestly be a more fair comparison...as the SSV doesn't come with ELBs :brow:

Aside from changing the inner diameter of the air path (down tube, etc) your correct...if the downstem doesn't protrude to at least as low as the showerhead slits, it technically can't do anything AFAICT. From what I can see, in the pic jam posted, all the downstem she has is doing, is reducing...
