Yeah I'm not sure what to think, but after getting the Herbie im content to wait and see what happens. Hopefully it's at least as good as the SSV was/is. If it's cheap I might scoop one up to be a backup desktop unit

i absolutely agree. When I first got the Herbie I was a little disappointed in its lack of cloud producing ability, but that's when I learned you don't need clouds, cause the Herbie gets me medicated harder and faster then any other vape I've tried. I consider it a "coming of age" vape...

@Valkred try using SSV tubing from 7th Floor, like Vicki suggested, I didn't think it would change much but trust me the wider inner diameter gives much better airflow and allows for bigger denser hits IMO.

I would imagine Pyrex would be the ideal dish used to evap your alcohol, especially in the double boiler set up you described. But there are other folks on here who are much more experienced then myself, and moreover, more qualified to give you a definitive answer.

I'm so stoked that S&B are finally putting out new models, it's hard to expect anything less then awesome from such a influential company. And just when I thought I could make it through the holidays without giving into my VAS :bang: I can't wait to hear/see more reviews on this unit.

@biohacker maybe try some ISO in your whip to get rid of any lingering smell/taste. As far as grind goes, I prefer a finer grind, IMO it vapes more evenly and I start getting clouds quicker. But to each their own, just make sure not to over pack the bowl, that seems to effect the vape quality...

the oil straw is just a way to cool and diffuse your vapor, whether it is from flowers, oil, kief, or all of the above ;)

I use my MFLB brush, it's much stiffer and gets even the most stubborn particulates off the screen with ease

I vape kief regularly in the Herbie with no issue, although the first few pulls seem to clog the top screen, but I always pull off the bowl and blow back into the whip the clear the top screen without fussing. And if you make a sandwich with bud it should help with that.

Just got a newsletter from 7th Floor about this unit (so hopefully they release it soon). I love my SSV, it gave me many years of service before I upgraded to a herbalizer. If this unit performs as well as I hope and doesn't bust the bank I just might have to scoop one up! Can't wait to hear...
