Yes it does, on my first box I let "hash" build up on the rods and screen and it ran really cool. Now I take ISO on a qtip and ever so gently wipe down the rods and screen, and then insert a battery for 4 sec with the cover open to evap the ISO. I do this every 2 days.

I'm starting to enjoy long hits from weak batteries..... tasty. Hitting aggressively with fresh batteries often kills the taste too soon.

Hmmmm..... nope, not the batteries, I have used the same 16 batteries in rotation with all boxes for a year now.

Yeah, counting warranty replacement, I've had 4. I've seen this with every one. Perhaps it's a little healthy build-up that makes the box smooth. For what ever reason, there is definitely a period of "running hot".

Glad you could see it. I tell you, sometimes when the herb is powder, it kinda clings together and you can actually flip the whole load as one clump. Like flipping a damn omelette.

If I had an account on youtube I would make a video of how to tap and roll without getting any herb outside of the trench. Maybe someone else can get footage and show people how to do it.

On the trench size; I used to load up around the rods / shoulders with my old box, I got a lot of build up of residue on the rods. I believe this build up affected the performance, and scraping the rods or the screen is a very delicate process (I destroyed my box trying). Now I only load below...

I feel you bro. Here's what worked for me. Bought the Duracell 15 min charger that comes with 4 batteries, works great, batteries peeled effortlessly with no residue. Then I bought some Energizers to go in the charger, peeled easily but they sucked. Finally found Energizers that work great, but...
