All the way down is probably a bit low if you want to RTL. But you will also need to weigh flame length vs where on the Anvil you place the flame.

Haven't tried any but the pencil Blazer. But in theory any should work if you use the recommended flame size. Might still be a bit too powerful so proceed with caution and dial it back as needed if you are combusting.

I have it, and ...... it is OK. The main thing I don't like is that you need to turn the butane down every time to turn it off. So not as easy to get repeatable hits since you are fiddling with the butane adjuster for literally every hit. I suggest you go with an option where flame adjustment...

For those of you complaining about the price, the Sneaky Pete interview with John does a great job of illustrating all that goes into Anvil production and the right tolerances needed. Also worth watching for the science and manufacturing geeks out there. OK. Now back to the name-calling...

Agreed. This is the whiniest, most entitled thread I have ever been in on FC. If this was my first thread here I never would have come back. And I remain amazed that John and Whiff haven't gotten fed up and left.

Have really had no major issues cleaning it personally. I go with a good kosher salt and water shake. Then rinse, fill completely with water, let any remaining salt dissolve and just pour that water out.

Anvil has quickly become my daily driver.
