The Vaporstore will be restocked in a few days, though not with short stems. We are going to have discounts for fc members when the rates go up. I can't speak for the Vaporstore. The stem/bowl should be fine with boiling water but not the Vapor Cap. The standard Vapor Cap can be carefully...

I like the long stem because it's easier to focus on the 'hot spot'. Others like the short stem because its stealthier. It's running about 2:1 for long stems now but it's entirely personal preference. The full kit has the scoop and bag, which are both 'nice to haves', and a goose neck...

Is there a difference in flavor between the MFLB and the Lotus? Since the flavonoids boil off at a lower temperature, and at the first hit, I would think that the Lotus would deliver more taste. Is that anyone's experience?

Do many of you think that the screen is too fine? Does anyone think that the screen should be as fine as it is?

I just tried a stem in iso and then methanol. The iso got it pretty clean and the methanol got it a little cleaner. Everyone else uses iso so I'm not going to argue with you too hard. Ethanol (vodka) does nothing but its only 40-50% alcohol.

Try soaking the stem & screen in methanol (hardware store alcohol) instead of removing the screen. Make sure the Lotus is totally dry before using it again as methanol is toxic. I warm it in the sun or over a hot air vent. We will be selling screens, probably in packs of 10. We are...

I don't know what you mean by blowback. The inner tube of the vaporcap that fits over the bowl sometimes gets unburned herb stuck to the sides, above where the bowl fits. It can be wiped away with a toothpick if you want but it won't affect the operation of the Lotus unless it gets really...

That is a good idea but we are trying to go in the direction of simplicity, not more parts and complication. We could probably make a high performance model that is adjustable but would be more expensive. I think that it would be of more interest to the FC posters than to the general public...

Reece said: But it is easy to achieve combustion. The Lotus was designed so that you could combust the contents if you wanted to. The thought was that the temperature couldn't be perfect, so would it be better to run on the hot side or cold side of perfect, with hot giving you charred...

You definitely can't spin the top through a full 360 with the stirring rod in, but maybe 3/4 of a revolution.

A stir stick could be attached to the bowl but it would be expensive; a machined part that would have to be silver soldered or welded to the sleeve. It would also be a heat sink, as Iwien mentioned, and it would only get the edge of the bowl, or where-ever its located.

This is the upgrade that I mentioned earlier: a permanent stainless steel stir stick attached to the vaporcap as a $5 option. The pics are rough but you get the idea.

Wow, tough crowd. There actually is an improvement/modification to the Lotus that we want to run past the forum in the next few days, as soon as we get photos of it. We have also been working on some interesting accessories which will be on the website in the next few weeks.
