Maybe he means the humidity's affect on the herb and not the flame? I dunno.

IMO the major source of combustion is having too large a flame and pointing it too far down the hole, either because you are new and dialing it in or too medicated to pay attention until the combustion happens.

I imagine may require more frequent cleaning? I might try this too, I always squeeze my Daisy a few times before use to make sure all the seams are lined up and smooth anyways.
