What possible reason would they have to give a prototype to a reviewer at this stage?
I've been asking that same thing for months now, every time that comes up here.
They don't need to convince anybody- the time for that was while they were funding it, and will be again in the future when they...
I'd really recommend not doing that.
Put it in a diffuser or something, or on a lightbulb in your room.
Essential oils are just so concentrated, and I worry that lately people are becoming much too casual about using them.
They've never missed an update since they committed to doing it twice a month.
Just because you are in a different time zone than they are doesn't mean they are late.
My point, which I think has been made by others also, is that it is very different to hand build one unique item than it is to source parts and mass produce the same item.
I've been wishing that IGG and Kickstarter required you to take a brief quiz about crowdfunding before you were allowed to pay.
I'm seeing this same kind of thing on a KS campaign I'm on (not nearly as delayed, and not nearly as much griping) where some people seem to think the whole point...
But then they run the risk of scaring people off.
It's easy for us (and probably the GH team) in hindsight to see that their date was wildly optimistic.
I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt and think that was due to naïveté more than deliberate deception.
Sorry for the snark.
Of course they had to give a release date. Who would back it without some prediction of when they'd complete the product? Although this is shaping up to be the most delayed crowdfunding campaign I've been a part of, I've never experienced one that wasn't at least a couple of...
They didn't mention the late September release because they already said two weeks ago " But with our manufacturers’ unpredictable delays, it’s still difficult to say if we will hit our September deadline. The possibility exists, but based on their fickle past, we would ask that you remain...
I thought Pakalolo explained pretty clearly why that would be unlikely.
Anyway, the whole thing is MADE of "outsourced machined parts", of course that's what they are showing us.
