Can you think of any logical reason why they'd post a fake video, especially at this point? If they have to cheat to make it appear like it actually works, they could just not post a video at all...

Still can't imagine a realistic reason why it would be relevant, but the statute of limitations for felonies ( which is what fraud of many thousands of dollars would be) varies by state - a minimum seems to be three years. But it's a pretty silly line of speculation if you ask me....

It's Kickstarter - that stuff is completely irrelevant. If they wanted to rip people off they could just say "whoops, we can't get the thing working, sorry", and not have to play some year long con game.

In other words, that's not for folks who backed it originally...

To be burned by contacting a hot object, the heat has to be transferred to your flesh though, right? And metal conducts heat better than plastic. I dunno, don't know a whole lot about physics, just throwing out an idea that could well be wrong...

They are having to get all the PCBs remade. It's being "fast tracked", whatever that means. That could cause a pretty substantial delay.

I'd say getting back the PCB's with the components installed improperly is a major fuck up, but I don't blame the GH team for that...

What does "I'm outta here" even mean? I gave 'em my hundred bucks and hoped for the best. It's not like I can take it back, even if I wanted to, which I don't. Kind of a weird choice for a spectator sport though- there must be something more interesting to do...

Very little of the negativity is coming from people who actually funded this. There's an undeniable vibe of some people wanting this to fail so they can say "I told you so".
