The clicking while in use is normal, but shouldn't be loud enough to hear unless you're in a quiet room. I think they said it was the heater cycling on and off?

I wonder if this is a sign that their quality control is slipping / the factories are easing up the tolerances of the machined pieces. Alternatively, they may have redesigned the mouthpiece slightly.

More than anything else, this will be GHL's kiss of death (if it keeps occurring) unless they acknowledge it and lay out a plan for preventing it.

The Solo paired with a bubbler is a great option. It's reliable, easy to use, and you can get wall-to-wall milk from it.

You can also push down on a domed screen with your finger after putting it in the stem. This compresses it, giving you more space, but still keeps a small space between the holes and the herb.
