I don't get the battery anxiety really haha. I have six and rotate them constantly, so switching them out mid session doesn't bother me....it takes like 15 seconds.

I use mine with the carb blocked all the time, gives me the best vapor I find. I just keep my internal condenser oring pushed up past the carb so I don't have to worry with blocking it with anything else

Just thought I'd add to the cap discussion. My black cap that I got several months ago is kind of weird. For the most part it clicks twice every time. But every once in a while it will somehow lock up and start only making one click a cycle. Still works as long as I realize it's doing it and...

Got my double flame Scorch torch just now. Two bowls in and I'm loving it. Much faster than the single, and I really like the aesthetics of it. Feels nice in the hand. Doesn't get uncomfortably hot. Seems to be giving me a darker, more thorough extraction too.

I am probably going to pick this up as my first double torch...Grasshopper is down, and waiting the 30 seconds~ it takes my single to heat my vapcap is no longer sufficient. Been a bit leery of moving to a more powerful torch to avoid combustion, but almost everyone else does it, so I'm sure...

welp. My Hopper is down again. No red/blue lights of death this time, when I click it on the lights come on red like normal then the device shuts down. Back to my vapcap...I don't find it as convenient or as efficient as my Grasshopper, but it is basically unbreakable so it has that going for it.

Think I could get a link to where you got yours? Want to make sure I get the right thing

The heat that builds up in mine is in the backend clip ring. The actual dial I don't believe I've felt get warm

Neither of the backends I've had exhibit battery issues and they get at least warm, at times. Not so hot I can't touch it, but enough heat I can feel it heating up if my fingers are near to but not touching it

I didn't think it was a permanent ban, just thought I remembered hearing about it on the old Grasshopper thread, something about a mod realizing two accounts were being used from the same computer or something aggrandizing Hopper Labs...but I could just be high...

I think they were actually banned for some kind of alternate account nonsense, weren't they?

They are lithium ion batteries. Or at very least claim to be, they say so on the side of the battery

I'm not even thinking extremely hot things. My fresh bacon I ate this morning was perfectly edible but far more unpleasant heat-wise than my hopper vapor..

It amazes me seeing people talking about the heat of the vapor as a problem. It's shocking how different people's experience can be. I use on max dry and don't get the slightest discomfort...how do y'all eat hot foods?

There must be a fair amount of difference in the fits of the silicone mouthpiece because mine is fairly snug. Enough so that if I have it on my hopper with the mflb glass stem I can hold it just by the stem and the pieces will hold together for 4 or 5 seconds before slipping apart

I can lay the finer screen over the stock screen, the threads hold it in place. But it is thick enough it stops the mouthpiece from turning all the way closed and leaves a gap I can't deal with being there lol

I have tried other grinds, but never really liked them. With a more coarse grind it always seemed like I had to empty it out into my hand and crumble it part way through to get it extracted completely anyway, but mainly my thing about it is it's difficult for me to measure out proper doses...
